My computer (gateway) is having issues. I'm getting a "no signal" error on the monitor when I turn the computer on, I get the "gateway" logo then the monitor shuts off and that's when I get the No Signal. The blue pwr light is on, but the amber light that shows the computer is working is off... I've replaced the monitor cable, I've replaced the video card with a new one. After I did that, it worked until I had to restart the system in order for the install to take effect. I unplugged everything and did a pwr reset and it worked 1 or 2 times after that, but now when I go to turn it on, nothing...
Can anyone help me?

The problem is in the computer, believe you have corrept files that are keeping

Your computer from starting up.

When you installed the new video card did it get new drivers, or does it still

Have the old drivers... Please try installing video card per link

You may just have video settings on the computer that the monitor or the card can't support.

Try this:
When booting up, right after the Gateway logo (usually there is a beep) press the F8 key a few times, it should bring up a menu. Arrow down to "VGA Mode", and hit enter. If it brings you to another rmenu where you can select windows, hit enter again. That should reset your video settings so you can see it again. If it doesn't work, then you probably have corrupt drivers. You can try "Last Known Good Configuration" from the menu, too.

Yes, I installed new drivers. That's when it was working, then when asked to restart the computer for the install to take full affect, that's when it didn't completely start up again. That's when I did the pwr reset and it worked 1 or 2 times after that. And now nothing. The weird thing is... it will work sporadically. More times nothing than something. Do you still think I should try installing it again per your link?
