I'm 2 days late for my period. I haven't been have reall period like sympotoms as I usually do. Nipples on and off sharp pain, stabbing pains around belly, lower back pain. I took a hpt a week 5 days before I'm due and it was negative, then 1 day before I was due and it was negative and today I took one and it was very faint positive you could barely see it except in light. I am never late, sometimes I'm early my bloodwork is good no deficiencies in anything and haven't been stressed I took discover hpt. Anyon experienced this please help

In this case there are really on a couple of choices:
1. If your other symptoms remain minor wait another couple of days and repeat the home test while treating your constipation with prune juice or another rememdy of your choice
2. see your healthcare provider if your are concerned about the shooting pains in your side or back.
If at any time your pain in your side increases or you begin to feel dizziness or bleeding please seek emergency assistance as this could be symptoms of ectopic or tubal pregnancy.

Your levels of HcG double every 2 days, so I would wait 2 days from when you took your last HPT and take another. The fact that you had to look under a light in order to see a faint line has me worried that there really isn't a line, but you are looking so hard to find one.

To be for sure though, again take an HPT in a few days. If negative you can always call your doctor for a blood pregnancy test.

I was the same way I even took a blood test one week before my missed period and it was negative when I was 2 days late it was faint can barley see it only in the light so I took a digital one and it said pregnant and I'm now 8 weeks pregnant good luck
