My carbon steel chef's knife was misplaced and showed up very rusty.
I have buffed it with a rotary steel brush, but is still has the brown appearance of rust.
Does anyone have a home-made solution for cleaning it?

Rub down the knife until the rust is gone then wipe clean with a dry cloth.
