    Rusty Chef's Knife
My carbon steel chef's knife was misplaced and showed up very rusty.

I have buffed it with a rotary steel brush, but is still has the brown appearance of rust.

Does anyone have a home-made solution for cleaning it?

Try the inside of a lime/lemon skin (you can use the ones you have squeezed the juice or a fresh one).
Rub down the knife until the rust is gone then wipe clean with a dry cloth.
