High School reunion date or no? (waddya think?)
My girlfriend of a year and a half is attending a 15th year High-School reunion lunch tomorrow.

She is divorced with 2 kids (and lives a crazy-busy schedule), and is going to med studies in a.m. then reunion and then plans time with me and then movie with all of us that evening...

So, the question is simply this:

Should I just let it slide. See her after and assume part of life?
In all honesty, I am not sure it would be much fun, but hey it did make me pause ---

If she wants you to go, go, if she does not care, don't

The assumption was she would see me after...

Should I take the lack of an invite as a slight?
    Or let it ride...

Why would you want to go to the reunion?

Plus, if it's like my reunions, she would have to have a ticket or would have RSVPed how many she is bringing. You can't just go boppin' into the reunion lunch unannounced.

Heck, no, it's not a slight! Be relieved!

Yes, a ticket is required. Her GF got one... and she brought kids cause with her...

Ok, I wasn't sure if she made a conscious decision (deal with old boyfriends, handle old stories)
Or it was just a blip on the radar.

I am sick and wouldn't want to go actually, but I was driving home and thinking huh?
    Maybe too much thinking...

    Definitely too much thinking.

Of course, there are old bfs and old stories. Hey -- high school!! It will give her something to talk about later when she sees you. (Reunion lunches are not necessarily fun.)

    Thanks, well, that's that then.

Seeing as she was a cheerleader and future med student and is exceptionally good looking - I guess there may be a few stories.
Though her main BF was out of town

Fever kicking in I guess -and we are well past high school after all

Drink lots of fluids, take aspirin, and report back to us later.

And of course you know how to behave when you are with her after the reunion, right??

    Behave?

Like this: "I hope the reunion was fun! - Ahhh reunions....they're so memory-rich!"

OK, I hear you. Less is more. Especially if not tinged with sarcasm or irony.

Go white sox/bulls and as always - sorry about the cubs.

Let her talk. Do the active listening thing with bright eyes (the fever will work in your favor) and lots of "Oh"s and "Oh my!"s and "Wow!"s.

I hate baseball. Gimme back MJ and the championship Bulls with Phil, Scottie, BJ, Dennis, and the rest of the gang.

Each of you should have a life apart from the other. That gives you something to share stories about when you are together.

You two sound like an interesting couple. Plus she juggles two children. Fun. Challenging.

    Don't give her your fever.
