    Hello Moxon98,

On your memory card you should find a little slide-able tag.

This tag works in the same way as the old 'floppy disk' (remember those cute little things? (LoL)).

If when you try to copy data to the mem card it says its write protected, you need to slide the tag in the opposite direction. This will close the tag and un-write protect it. Once this is done you should be able to write date or copy pictures etc to it.

This tag is there to allow you to stop overwriting anything you wish to permanently keep on the card.

Pre-recorded cassette tapes have a similar protection but to enable them to be copied over you need to close the hole using a piece of sellotape.

I hope this solves your problem.
