Is it possible if I could file for bankruptcy just for myself without affecting my wife's record?
You can file for individual bankruptcy while married, but many times the spouse's income and assets will be taken into consideration. Also your wife will be liable for any joint debt that you share. Assuming that she continues the payments on any joint debt no negative affect will be on her credit. If you file as an individual it will not show on her credit.
