    I have a gas powered john deer weed eater and the trigger you pull back to give it gas is getting stuck. How do I fix this problem help karigirl

    Stuck? Does it feel like the cable is gummed up? Try disconnecting the engine end of the cable, does the throttle plate on the carb move freely, if so run WD 40 down inside the cable and work it.

    We should keep our exchanges attached to you original post. That way others can also offer help. Cables moves freely but how about the throttle plate on the carb? It's the thing with small holes that the cables attaches to.

    Also, I have had problems inside the handle where the throttle trigger has an "arm" that goes out at an angle, getting weak or broken off and not returning the trigger to the original idle. Then I have seen where there has been a build up of "gunk" in the trigger assembly area and causing resistance to the cable and throttle trigger movement.
