The court will usually not charge people under 17 as an adult unless it is for something along the lines of a home invasion, murder, etc.
What if its 2 counts of grand theft auto. He has been reported as a runaway and the last 2 times he stoled the cars.
Which court is he going to, if he is going to Juv court then he is not charged as a minor, if he is going to adult court then normally he is being tried as a adult. AT least that is how it is done here
Most of the time, adult court means you are already CERTIFIED as an adult, a minor is not aloud in an adult courtroom until certification.
