    Location of faucets at sink
I am having granite counters and stainless sink installed tomorrow. They called and told me to have an idea of where I want all the sink items placed. It is a 30/70 split sink,7"/9" depths. I have a single-handle Grohe Café Ladylux main faucet, Grohe soap/lotion dispenser, and cold water faucet. Since the sinks are not symmetrical, I am unsure of how to place these items. HELP.

The spout should center just above the split between the two tubs. The rest is your choice but I would place the ice water faucet to the right of the valve and the soap dispenser a bit farther to the right. Good luck, Tom

They can drill the holes for a faucet or soap dispenser on site but the sink opening has to be done at the shop. Did you give them a template for the sink. And will this be an undercounter sink? Reason I am asking is that a 9" sink with a disposal may no longer match up with your lateral drain line coming from the wall. Counter installer don't normally catch this problem but you should check this out. Switching the disposal to the 7" sink would help. There are a lot of IFs in my story so maybe you will be OK. The last job I idid like this was my own and it was not OK.

Hello--Luckily, I am installing an undercounter stainless steel sink the exact dimensions as my old corian sink. So the disposal will just go right back onto the smaller 7" left side sink. It is what I am used to so it works for me. Most people like the disposal on their big sink--not me, it is just for scraping food. Thus, drain lines should all line up fine. So I am thinking I will center the main single hole-single lever faucet then put the soap just to the left (over the small sink) and then put the drinking water all the way to the right of the large sink. Does this make sense--will it look foolish? Thanks for your input

Tom will read this later and can help too. I think the drinking water and the soap should be equal distances from the main faucet but that's just me. I like symmetry.
