Hello. Recently like in the month of September, toward the end, my aunt was in Oregon living with her husband. She had a surgery on the 12th and just some days later her husband started getting really angry with her, and mistreating her. He even raped her. She said she told him no, because her surgery hurt. But he was acting so insane that he did it anyway. She reports that he was throwing her against things and pushing her against walls, and even picking her up and throwing her on the bed. She got a chance to only dial 911, but he took the phone away from her, but the police went there anyway. When they got there, they possibly examined her but found no bruises or anything, she did not tell them he raped her, and she didn't press charges at the time.
Now she lives or came to live in Washington state. Can she do something here in Washington state or does it have to be in Oregon? She wants to report all he did to her, but would like to know how hard would it be to press charges or for a conviction. Is a rape between a married couple hard to allegate? How about when it happened while she was ill??
And one other thing, can he claim part of a house that she and his sister started paying off, years before they got married?? He doesn't help pay it, can he still claim it??
