    Studor air gaps
I have checked out the Studor web site that Speedball reccomends and they say you can use their air gap and not go through the roof with the vent stack. Unless I missed it I haven't found any mention in any of the threads on here about venting this way. We are almost ready to go through the roof but if this vent would work then hooray!

    Anyone care to comment?

    Hi Deloris,

That's a "air vent" not a "air gap", one has to do with drainage and the other with venting.

You sure did. I've been recommending Studor Vents in a tight situation ever since I started answering questions. On this page locate the post "Venting A Basement Bathroom".
Nothing is as dependable as a roof vent and unless it's almost impossible to run a vent out to the roof I don't recommend installing them for that reason.
    Cheers, Tom

Thanks! Since I was putting them both in the same category you can tell I'm a novice in all of this. Now my face is red.
