    Moving for the first time
I am moving from CA to Denver CO and going to a jc. I want to know if it will be hard making new friends when moving to a new place. I have plenty of friends at CA but it seems that I made them because they were friends of my other friends. I can't imagine meeting people by myself. What should I expect when moving to a new place. I tend to get very shy around someone when I first meet them but then I become less shy as I know them more.

You should have no trouble meeting new friends in Colorado. It is a fun place to be when you are young and like the outdoors. Just be yourself, be around other young people, and you will find others with your interests. I made some of the most lasting friendships I had when I moved to Colorado Springs at 18. And Boulder at 23. Snowboard, it is fun and not too different for a California kid. Good Luck, have fun.
