Is there such a thing as having your period for too long?
Hey my name is brittany and I am currently 18 and a freshman in college- and ever since July 2 I have been on my period ever since- some days I won't bleed at all but I always have a discharge - for the most part I have been on my period everday since July 2 though. Before I left for college I contacted my gyno and they said it was normal if I was stressin out a lot and at the time I had been but I am unsure of what to do - because I am not stressin what so ever- and I'm still on my period- and as much as I want to see about it I don't have insurance or a medical card and I don't have a job and I don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

I't too bad you don't have indurance, because you should go to the doctor as soon as posible. It has been too long, and for you safely and tranquility you should get checked just in case.

I was having a period for 3 months straight and at that time I was told that any bleeding after 7 days is no longer considered a period. So it would be a good idea to see a gyno. Even if you have to ask at planned parenthood or places along those lines for help. Some have sliding-scale payment choices if funds are a problem.
