Supposed to? No! That is a personal decision based on you. The only reason I see for a 14 yr old to be concerned about pubic hair it is with the types of swimsuits you wear. You may need to trim or wax if you wear high cut bottoms.

I agree with Scott - you do not HAVE to shave your pubic hairs. There is no law saying you have to. Some females do for hygiene or other personal reasons, such as wearing the swimsuits. It is totally up to you. Have you talked to your Mother about this?

Why should you feel embarrassed to talk to your mom about something like that? That's a large part of what mom's are for.

Hmmm, you need to sit down with mom and explain something to her. She has to understand that some things you talk about should be confidential. Maybe you can get your grandmother or school counselor to help.

Your Mom should not be breaking your trust and confidentiality. I had a Mom just like that and it came to where I never told her anything personal anymore. She refused to listen and told me that my business was her business. So I get where you are at. But can you talk to your Grandmother, if she is around, or someone you know can hold a confidence? Even the school nurse would be a help and she cannot be running around telling people what you told her.

Maybe she is concerned about you. Are you an only child?

She has every right to be concerned about you if she knows about the 20 year old man you see in Turkey.

Hmmm, there is always 2 sides to a story isn't there? If mom is aware of your (potentially) pedophile friend she certainly might be concerned about all of a sudden being concerned with your curiousity about pubic hair

Many girls today do choose to shave or wax. If you are not showing any one what down there it’s a mater of personal preference. If you are showing people (sexual partners) what is down there it is still a mater of personal preference. Sadly if people find out for one reason or another that you do not shave they may chose to make fun of you. That is very wrong. Do not choose to shave based on what people think. However, you may choose to try it for a while and see how you like it. Hair grows back if you don’t like it. Many women find it more comfortable one way or the other.
