Does anyone have any medical advice on how I tested positive for oxy-codone, but none of my medications contain it. Medications include cytomel, rythmol, warfarin, toprol, and hydrocodone. They tell me that none of the above qualify, and I am at a loss as to how this is showing, having never (knowingly) done it. My job of 18 years, is in danger as well as any possibility of getting hired somewhere else if I explain why I left such a good job.

Codeine is why you tested positive. They tested you and you came back positive for Opioids. Hydroodone is an opiate analgesic.

Prescription Lasix will get rid of all the drugs in your system FAST! It should take one to two days for the medicines you listed above!

I am not sure about why you tested positive, but if you have a doctors note for all of those... then maybe you can have your doctor explain this to you... I personally would just look at the chemical names in those and kind of combine why you tested positive... YOU TAKE A TON of weird medications!

I understand the reasons you are taking these medications, and it is not weird in order to maintain your health.

Cytomel is a Thyroid agent

Toprol is an antihypertensive used for High blood pressure

Warfarin is a blood thinner

Rythmol can either be taken for gastrointestinal problems, or cardiac

And

Hydrocodone actually has many uses.

I think it is terrible that the people who ran these test can't even interpret them at all. It is so clear that hydrocodeine would cause a false positive! They shouldn't be allowed to perform these tests if they don't know what they are doing. I was very shocked by this post. I am sorry for any worry these idiots have caused you. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing indeed.

I mys elf tested positive for oxi codone and I asked why and they said that I had to have taken oxi codone that nothing else shows up as this so I am looking to do research to find out why as I will really get into trouble. I used to take oxi contin years ago and think maybe when I had a migrane I might have got one from my mother knowing that it would be OK as I have lupus and can't take a lot of drugs out there I have been on the same ones for 8 years for pain and they have given me oxi contin beofre so I guess I will just get a copy of that perscription and take it in.and I think when you have problems you need to take your medication I have been given medication in my life for stuff I didn't even have because the lupus masked the symptoms so at one time they had me on TB meds when I didn't even have TB and it was awful and eventually my lupus flared up and I had to stop but they did dissolve the masses in my lungs and I am now healthy.After of course they cut on me first then tried the medicine. I guess this is why they call it practicing medicine.God Bless and good luck to you
