    F1 student taxes on stocks
    Hi!

I am an F1 student in US for the past three years. I know that I am not taxed on income from CDs or bank interest. However, I would like to know if I would be taxed on income from stocks and mutual funds?

    Thanks!

Yes, you would. Dividends and capital gains are NOT exempt from taxes for F-1 students.
