Disabled, can't pay, not won't pay!
I defaulted on a credit card. 5 or 6 years ago they got a judgement way back in about 2002. A law firm bought the judgement, and calls constantly. They will not except payments, will not send me anything by mail, will only deal with me over the phone. I asked them to send me the info by mail, they said NO! They ststed they would just have me served with a summons, they have threatened that for months now but they just keep calling. I sent a fax telling them I will deal with them through the mail but to stop calling me. They stopped for a while then started calling again, I reminded them that they were not to call me and they say they have no record of a fax from me. Although one of their people did slip up and tell me she saw in their system she was not to call. I am not trying to get out of paying a debt I owe, but I became disabled. I am on disability. I have had several heart attacks for which I have five stents in one of my arteries. I developed Poly Neuropathy, Lupus, and Crippling arthritis. Have also got a diagnosis of terminally Suicidal.
I simply don't have the money> I have no property and do not even own a car. I barely make from month to month on what I get in disability income. WHAT DO I DO!? It is not that I won't pay, I can't pay! PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH SOME ADVICE,I can't stop worrying day and night.

I have not been able to pay various things through the years and they haven't come after me other than nuisance phone calls and bills in the mail. I think I had a judgment or two a few years ago that I ignored. I can't afford to pay things back either. I live on less than a thousand a month and that is my sons disability so it is two of us living on that.
They tell me "well this will ruin your credit." It can't ruin it any more than it is. I think the law is still if you haven't paid anything on it in seven years they have to let it go.
But I think the law might be different if you owe lots of money. Everything I owe totaled over the past 10 years comes to less than a few thousand dollars.
I really hope you don't owe for your house cause they can evict you
With your health what could they do if they came after you?

What can I say I am
