I just heard on the radio that a woman put an ad on Craig's list for a rich husband. She claimed since she lives in New York it wasn't that unreasonable since the cost of living is so much asking for a rich guy wasn't being greedy or asking for that much.
Her replies included a 'crappy business deal. While you will get uglier with age my assets will appreciate while yours will decrease.'

As with the dollar, I'm falling and I can't get up, there are medical procedures to remedy anything that may be sagging.
As for inflation, sooner or later, deflation sets in and there really isn't a magic pill for that.
