Hello, I am a 16 year old female who is sexually active. I just started using birth control almost two weeks ago, and I've been experiencing some "spotting" and brown discharge. The discharge does not have a bad odor, and it is kind of sticky. It has been happening every few days for a week or so now. The spotting of blood happens almost on a daily basis, but it's not that bad and it's not a continuous flow like a period would be. I'm hoping that this is just from the new birth control pills, but I'm starting to get worried. I've only ever had sex with one person, and I'm the only person that he's had sex with as well. We have steered away from using condoms lately because I've been on "the pill" but he pulls out, which I know is not really a form of protection. So I'm hoping that I'm not pregnant.
Could someone provide me with an explanation?
