    Filing bankruptcy without an attorney
Can I file bankrupcty without an attorney?

I am single and unemployed. I found a bankruptcy form at the local Office Depot & want to file bankruptcy without an attorney as I have NO money and there is no better time than now. I know I am doing the right thing.

Please email me at: [email protected]

Please do not try this without an attorney. The new laws are confusing and if you don't know what you are doing you can wind up with more problems. You can check with legal aide and see if you qualify for their services. In most cases they will help you file a Chapter 7 and you can file a petition with the court to wiave the fees or to allow you to pay them out over a period. Filing Informa Pauperis is the term used.

I am not an attorney and in no way should my opinion be construed as legal advice.
