Can anyone tell me where I can get a Free Eye Exam and new Contacts of glasses? I do not have the money obviously to do this however, I am married and my husband and I like so many families live on one check a month which is not enough for me to get my eyes examined. I have bad eyes and I am losing the sight in my left eye and do not know what to do. My husband is very sick and I have to take care of him at least do the best I can to keep him going. I have called different eye professionals and offered to do house work to work off the bill if I have to because I cannot afford to pay anything at this time no one has accepted my offer. I live in a small town in Walhalla, SC and the Lyons Club will not help with the whole bill they will only give you part of it but that will not work because these eye professionals wants their money. Please let me know if anyone knows what else I can do if you have any idea. I have contacted the Blind Association and they sent me a bunch of papers to fill out and they want to know a lot of stuff and I answered the best I could they do not seem like they want to help because my husband does get a low income but I guess there not going to help me. To me this is an emergency because I have to get my husband back and forth to the Doctor and I am the only one who drives and I cannot see the road that well so I am afraid to drive a long distance.
