Keep getting an extra page when printing to a HP LJ 8000 printer on network.
Sbn,
A couple of questions for you.
Look at the extra page, is there any data printed on the extra page?
If any data is printed on the page, it means that the preceding page tried to write into the printers "No print zone".
If the page is completely blank, then using the printer's menus. Go to diagnostic mode and see if the HP has a "Hex Trace" mode. If it does set it to ON and then resend a short job to the printer. What I would expect to see is two 0x0Cs. The "0C" is the printer's form feed command.
If you can scan and attach the printout to this posting I can read the hex trace and see what's going on.
