    Newton laws
A diver with weight of 833 N dives from a boat with a mass of 375 kg. If he leaves the boat with a velocity of 2.25 m/s (W) after accelerating for 0.5 s. What will be the final velocity of the boat.

I am not sure, but here is an attempt:

Initial momentum = final momentum = 0 (Conservation of Momentum)

Find the mass of the man m from his weight.

When he attains speed of 2.25 his momentum = mv = 2.25 m

Boat must have corresponding negative momentum = -2.25m

Let speed of boat = V, mass is 375 ,

    Hence -2.25m = 375 V

Substitute value of m and find V
