    Odor in kitchen sink drain
I have a "vomit " like smell coming from my kitchen sink drains. There are no leaks under the sink, or under the house from pipes leading from kitchen sink. Ive have tried draino, bleach, etc, but odor is still there. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan Cravens

Is the smell coming from the drain or the disposal?

I am having the same issue. I have tried the baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice remedy with moderate results. The odor is still apparent so I took the plumbing apart under the sink and the source of the odor is a collection of "stuff" in the horizontal piece of pipe coming out of the wall. From the pictures and blogs I have seen, they all picture rough drains coming out of the floor in a vertical position instead of the horizontal position from the wall as is under my kitchen sink. I am considering going into the wall, cutting the pipe and putting a 45' on it so the waste has more gravity to feed it down and away; preventing it from settling as it currently does. Any feedback would be appreciated.
