Hi , I'm just wondering.. anyone who knows anything about statchutory rape...

I'm 14- and I live in canada,
I just turned fourteen this year in June.
My boyfriend is 18 , he turned 18 this year as well.
I'm just wondering if, by any chance, we were to have sexual intercourse- someone could get him in trouble for "statchutory rape."
I've been told it's illegal and wrong for us to be together,
I really don't want to believe it...
My boyfriend & I are very close
I don't think its wrong at all...
I've heard stories from- its not illegal & it is illegal for us to be even HANGING OUT in general..
And I've heard more on the further stuff such as sexual intercourse..
We haven't done this yet - obviously, but I would like to know some more information -
Before we do anything more..
But could anyone who actually knows the law please get back to me on this !

I believe the term you want to use is Statutory Rape and you should also Google Contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Yep your Bf will be in very big trouble even if you two are not having intercourse.
