    Hello,

    I am in the same situation. The creditors sent a wage garansihment to my employer and the judgement is 8 years old. The dugement has not be renew. Can the employer still takemoney and what is Doctrine of Laches? Please explain in english jargon and not in legal terms. Thanks for you help!

    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

    If the judgement hasn't expired (and generally they are good for 10 years), then yes they have to garnish your salary. Before they can do so they have to obtain a court order. So if they got the court order then its is probably valid.
