Okay Me nd my boyfriend both live in minnesota and he turns 18 in november and i recently turned 16 here in october. we would like to know if we legally can date nd be doing stuff together ;) lol...both of our parents are okay with us dateing..but i've heard many different things about the statutory rape law nd we would rather be safe then sorry.

Technically it is statutory rape. But if your parents are okay with it, then you should be fine. They are the ones that can really press charges. So stay on their good side!

Besides your doctor if you get pregnant, your school teachers if they know and other professoinals who are required to report child abuse. As long as all of them are OK with it, then you should be OK.
