    Franchise investment money
I am in Fort Worth TX and I am thinking about opening a restaurant franchise that would work well in the area I am in. Where can I start to find some investors or a venture capitalist to invest in my franchise? I don't have a clue to where to start first to find money.

REIA (Real Estate Investors Association) is nationwide. In San Antonio it's called SAREIA which can be found at SAREIA | San Antonio Real Estate Investors Association | Real Estate Investing in San Antonio. You may find a local chapter, but this would be a good place to begin networking. You can also put together a plan showing what you expect to happen and how, create an event to invite doctors, lawyers, any high-paying professionals where you can prove how they can make more for their money than with a mutual fund or money market account etc. Most investments only pay 3 to maybe 6 or 7% on the money, but you can promise them 10, 15% on their money which would be a wise investment for them. Also, check out the Rich Dad Poor Dad books - there's lots of info. In them.
