I am a 22 year old (female, obviously). I have recently started taking birth control pills again. I am sexually active, but always use condoms.


For the last 2 weeks, I have been bleeding. It started like a spotting, usually after sex. After a few days, it was basically my period, which would have been 2 weeks early. I took 3 home pregnancy tests, and all were negative. I was told years ago that conceiving would be difficult for me because of other complications with my body.

Over this weekend, I was not bleeding, it seemed to be gone with no change in my regular behavior. However, today I had sex, and bleed excessively during the act.


What could be the problem? What should I do?

I would definitely see a doctor. Excessive bleeding and/or pain during sex can be symptoms of a problem.
