    violation of probation
My fiancé is on felony probation for hto. He served 6months of community control with no problems or violations. Now that he has a probation officer, two weeks later he went to their scheduled meeting and they arrested him for vop. However they still have not told him what he did to violate? He went to jail and had to wait till the next day to see a judge, who still didn't tell him why he was there and his court papers only say vop then his original charges dwls hto and dwi hto. Is this right? And now he was released late Saturday night it is now mon morning and his po called and said he was suposesd to report on the first business day at 8am and he asked I thought I had 72 hrs and she hung up on him?

    Hello j:

I don't know what your question is. And, I don't know if he has 72 hours. The PO said to go today, so I would go today. When he's there, I would ask her what he did to violate.

Can they arrest him and only tell him that he violated probation, and when he asks what he did to violate they did not give him an answer. Is that legal? I thought you cannot arrest someone with out telling them why:confused:
