    Acid-base stoichiometry
    If I am given th Molarity of the acid and the volume of the acid and the chemical formula of the base, how do I find the grams of the base needed to neutralize the acid?

    Rule number 1:

    If you are given the constituents of the reaction - always write out a balanced equation. Thereafter use this equation:

    moles = (c x v)/1000

    c = concentration of the substance you have
    v = volume of the substance you have (only if you have it's concentration).

    From previous mole questions you should be able to find out the concentration/volume of the other product using your equation.
