Error Message and Shutdown in Outlook Express 6
    Hello,

Ever since I did an EZ Armor Virus Scan and Spyware Scan (and Spybot), I'm getting errors that cause applications to shut down in Outlook Express and Word.

The one I just got says Outlook Express FolderSync Window Class: msimn.exe - Application Error. The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000008) occurred in the application at location 0x7c964ed1.

Can you tell me what to do to stop these? It's never happened before, and now it's happening all the time.

I have XP SP2 and Outlook Express 6

    Thanks

The msimn.exe is the application file used to open Outlook Express.

The error you are receiving is caused when more than one software application attempts to access the same file.

How much RAM do you have? I ask this because if you installed other applications recently, these would now suck up RAM resources and cause improper performance of your Outlook Express application.

Running XP with SP-2, you should have a minimum of 512MB or better. If you do not have this, I would recommend finding your RAM type and upgrading it.

If this is not the case, then possibly, your Outlook Express is conflicting with a recently installed application. I would try uninstalling recent programs that you may have applied to your system since this error commenced. Then I would reinstall each one back one at a time (the process-of-elimination process).

Hope this helps! Great Success to you!
