This washer was working fine, then the Hi pressure was not as high as it was earlier in the day. Low pressure works fine, detergent draws fine and hi pressure kicks in but much lower than normal. Removed and cleaned all hoses and water screen. No clogs I could see. Owners manual mentions a by-pass valve, but I could not find one.

Any suggestions?

If you are using quick connects, any loss in the "o" rings ?

Also is the water imput still as high, if you lose volume it will make the pressure appear less also

The by pass kicks in when you let go of the trigger gun. It keeps water moving though the pump, it circles the water,
This allows the pump to run a few minutes without using the trigger gun.
If you would let it sit there 10 or 15 minutes without using the trigger gun, you can still burn the pump up.

There is also a regulator, the big spring, if you tighten it down, it increases the pressue, but if you take it too high, you will get too much back pressure and can hurt the pump also.

Also if you are not getting enough RPMs it will effectit also

Thank you, the "O" rings are in place. I will try the regulator spring and see if that makes a difference, other wise it appears the pump is not working the way it should.

Yes, check the o rings, and try and adjust the regulator. Also is there any difference in the engines performance as chuck was inquiring about the rpms?
