    Hole in heating element
My Kenmore dishwasher has a hole in the heating element. Can I solder it and use it until the new element arrives??

I don't think so, but you might be successful in welding it which is impractacle. I would wash dishes until the element arrives.

Best not to repair. Be patience until new one arrives

The hole likely was burned there when the resistance wire inside shorted out to the outer metal cover. There is more to repairing it than soldering or welding the hole shut. Enough more to be nearly impossible.
