My initial inquiry was: "I have a Kenmore washer. Why am I getting black spots on my clothes?" The reply was that I should take the drum out and clean it. My reply to that is: In all my years of using a washer, I have never heard of anyone having to clean the washer or dismantle it to clean the drum. There must be another reason for black spots on clothes. Has anyone had a similar experience? There must be some other solution rather than dismantling the washer. Thanks for your help.

I think you are referring to my response. I have seen many times where someone has had a greasy load etc and cleaned the inside of the drum to no avail. I removed the drum or cabinet which ever it took and cleaned the grease off the back side and it solved there problem. I was just giving you advise on my years of experience. Good Luck
