    Auto.exe and autorun.inf
I accidentally deleted both auto.exe and autorun.inf in my drive C, since both were detected as virus. But after doing so, my drive C can not be opened anymore...
I can not restore the deleted files anymore despite doing "system restore"
    What to do now? Help...

What operating system are you running? Windows 98, 2000, XP etc?

Remove your c drive and copy all important documents form it then reinstall your operating system and put AVG and trojan hunter on it that will stop a repeat of it

You can run your OS disc and select the repair option, this will hopefully repair the problem.

I suppose auto.exe and autorun.inf really were viruses. I have much similar problem. Open your computer and click on disk in question with right mouse button - what you see first? Autorun?
I open the disk with right click on the Start icon - all opens nicely.
Can anybody say, how to return disk to its original state - line "Open" first?
