    a/c safety shut off
Where is the safety off switch on my lennox furnace for the a/c? When I turn on the a/c the fan in the house turns on but the unit outside doesn't. I had the cover on for the winter, then my daughter turned it on not knowing and I'm sure the safety switched it off

Look on the panel or door for your legand diagram ,should have a list of everything and give you an idea of where they are. I`m not a Lennox man ,haven`t seen a safety off switch for a/c in a furnace

There is a high pressure switch in the outside unit, remove the access panel and look for red button, push it in and watch her run. Good luck, Mike

I agree with actec behind the service door half way up on the left side. This is the reason I hate to see the out side covers on the A/C units. You spent 60$ for the cover and if you don't have a high pressure switch to protect the compressor and leave the cover on your looking at 900$ to 1200$ to fix it. Your A/C is made to with stand the elements of whether.

The next time you put the cover on, open the AC disconnect box mounted on the outside wall of the house. Pull on the plastic handle and turn it around. The AC will be turned off. When you remove the cover, do the same thing.
