    Signing off parental rights--NY
I would like to know how and if I can sign off my parental rights on my child. Support is not the issue of this. I have never been ordered to pay support. The child moved out of my home and I just don't want to be responsible for things to come.

    Hello bean:

If you're not using your rights, why do you need to go to court to have them officially removed?? You can't, by the way, sign off on your responsibilities, however. If she sues you for child support she'll win.

However, the manly thing to do would be to support your offspring whether you're ordered to or not.
