    Overflow Pipe
    Hello,

My overflow pipe continually drips, I have traced the pipe back to my airing cupboard and it looks like its connected to a pressure valve and pressure tank (Sorry I'm a plumbing novice!)

The pressure gauge is showing that red and black dials are between 2 and 3, I turned the valve to the right which dropped the pressure and then water started gushing out of the pipe. It manged to turn itself back and is now dripping as normal.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

    Many thanks in advance

    Justin

First of all I had to Google " Airing cupboard " to find out it held the water heater. Is this the case and is the temperature and pressure relief valve the one that's leaking? What type of water heater do you have? Gas or electric? If I'm wrong click on back with more details. Regards, Tom
