    Ejector Pit Smells!!
I have an ejector pit in my basement with a shower, washer, and toilet draining into it. The top is bolted down and the pvc has snug rubber fittings where it passes through the top but the odor is still strong. Is there any thing I can do to control or reduce the odor?

    Hi Harry,

Check to see if the vents are clear and then open the pit and pour a gallon of bleach in the sump and wash the walls down. Then flush it away and see if it doesn't smell better. Cheers, Tom

You run a snake down the vent to the holding tank to make sure they're clear. Regards, Tom
