Hi, I was supposed to get my period around 28/29 Sept but it didn't arrive.
Today when I went to the toilet I had a brown (quite thick) discharge.
I am sexually active and don't use protection as my husband and I are trying for a baby. He had a vasectomy reversal in April but we are unsure of the outcome of the reversal yet as he has not had the test results back to confirm if it worked or not.
I've never experienced this before and was wondering what it was.
I am usually regular with my periods, even though they are always very heavy.

I unfortunately don't have an answer for you, just as I don't have one for myself.
We seem to have the same issue. My periods are usually pretty much on time and also VERY heavy as you mentioned.
So, when I received what I thought was my period at my regular time, I was pretty confused. It was only brown spotting for a couple of days or so. Very very light and everything. And I do recall having unprotected sex with my boyfriend a couple times during that month before this occurrence.
I don't know if I'm pregnant or not, haven't told him either. My mom says it sounds like I am. I was trying to hold off on taking a test till sometime next week to see if my period would show up. But I'm probably going to take a test on Monday.
