    Can pregnancy test be wrong?
Hi there. I'm 10 days late. As this has NEVER happened to me before I've done 2 pregnancy tests in the space of 2days. Both showed negative. Strangest thing is that my nipples were very sore (also NEVER happens) 2weeks ago. I'm super impatient, want a baby & I guess I'll just have to wait. Please share similar experiences while I wait... as I can not talk to anyone!!

It is quite common to get false negatives. Are you taking the tests using first morning urine? This is important as the concentration of the pregnancy hormone, hcg, is higher in first morning urine. If you haven't you can try that tomorrow morning.

Now, there can be many reasons for a late period, other than pregnancy. Stress, weight gain or loss, or sometimes it's just mother nature throwing us a curve ball.
