I'm trying to read through the applicable building codes in my jurisdiction to answer some simple questions before I even start thinking about my basement remodel project... things like minimum ceiling height, soffit dimensions, and stair measurements. I live in Virginia, and my county uses the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and that is made available online. However, it doesn't seem to mention anything about ceiling heights.

The Virginia Code seems to just be a supplement to the International Building Code. Does anyone know if/where I can find the International Building Code online?
