I have a 3 yr old Kenmore dishwasher that is not spraying any water on the top rack. I have already disassembled the upper wash and rinse parts and verified they were not plugged up. Is there anything else I can check before calling in the repairman?

Could be the wash pump tube is clogged or the wash pump it self is weak. The pump takes suction from the tub and forces water up through the spray arm. After the water enters the tub, it is then sucked from the pump tub to the spray arm.

Also could be the drain valve is bad. In the wash mode, the drain valve should be open and the drain tube is closed off. This is what will direct the water to the spray arm.
