    Dna testing
If I just found out that I might have a child, can I get a court ordered dna test and is there a time frame to get it done?

If you believe you are the father then you can file a motion in Family Court for an adjudication of paternity. This will consist of a DNA test that you, the mother and child must submit to. Once the results are established, you can file for custody, visitation or anything else you want. You'll also be ordered to pay child support.

If you believe you have a child you can request a DNA at anytime you just have to go through the courts to request this information to be done. Don't take matters in your own hands do everything through the courts to assure you are getting correct information.
