Please tell me the difference between point and nonpoint pollution

Point source pollution is pollution that comes from a single source, like a power plant spewing smoke (particulates and gases) or run off from a copper mine, something like that. Non point source pollution is where the pollution comes from all over, a little bit from lots of different places--like pollution from millions of cars or homes.
