    Frigidaire dryer squeeks
    Hi I was wondering how to stop the squeeking of my fridaire dryer FDE7976FS1 I do not see a way to open the dryer and work on the belt.

    To open the cabinet, remove 2 screws in the kickplate and slide it down to disengage the pins. To lift the cabinet top, push on the 2 spring catches (one on each side) with a putty knife. Check the belt and idler pullely. You may have one or maybe 2 of them. Som models of Frigidaire have a ball on the back of the drum that will fit into a socket that can also cause a squeeking sound
