    To lease Jointly owned property must both owners sign the lease?

    Yes, both owners must sign the lease if it is jointly owned and both are responsible for the property and the rent.

    Hello we:

    I think one owner can bind the other with just his signature. Certainly, if the owners are husband and wife only one signature would be required. They could also have a management company signing leases for them, and only one of the owners could have hired them too, in my view.

    It depends on the relationship between the joint owners. Its possible that one of the owners can sign for the other. Its also possible that the other owner can fight it.
