    Theft under 5000 dollar.tourist visa
    My friend mother-in-law charged with theft under 5000 and she's only tourist here in canada.Sha had $60 worth of merchandize from walmart store.Is there anyway she can set out of this and not have a criminal record?her visa for staying here is until next year,is she got a criminal record and cannot affecting her record as a visitor? Help... tnx

    Tnx... but the problem is they don't have money to hire a lawyer... what is her chances? Is she got convicted?

    If she is convicted she will be asked to leave Canada, I'm surprised she hasn't been asked to leave already.

    Why would they allow someone from another country who has committed a crime while visiting to remain here?
