    Worded Questions
    Hi there, I'm new to this.
    Could someone please point me in the right direction in answering this worded question?

    A newly formed metal ingot cools from a temperature of 800 degrees Celsius one minute after being poured to a temperature of 600 degrees Celsius five minutes after being poured. The temperature, T degrees Celsius, of the metal at time (t) minutes after the ingot was formed is given by

    T=k 10^(-at) (k and a are constants)

    a) Find the temperature of the metal at the moment the ingot was poured.
    b) Find the value of a (correct to 5 decimals places)

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks

    It appears you have two equations to solve for a and k.

    Solve for a and k.
